Multi Use List for provision of consultancy services

The Australian Government Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts is compiling a Multi Use List of consultants to review and revise emission estimation materials for the National Pollutant Inventory.

The National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) is a collaborative program involving all state/territory and the Australian governments. The program collects emissions data from industry and estimates emissions from a wide range of other sources. It publicly discloses this information on the web site www.npi.gov.au.

The NPI is currently reviewing and updating materials provided to industries to help them estimate emissions from their facilities. It is also updating guidelines used to estimate emissions from other sources. There are more than 100 materials currently being considered through this review process.

Expressions of capacity are sought from suitably experienced and skilled organisations and individuals to provide services to assist in this project. These services will include, but are not limited to, provision of technical advice, emissions modelling, direct measurement, research and literature review. The NPI is a national program, and thus services may be required in any state/territory of Australia.

Organisations or individuals making a submission may be approached for specific tasks through a select tender process. The arrangement will remain in place until 30 June 2009, and may be extended or amended at the discretion of the Australian Government Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts.

Interested parties should go to the link above, located on the Department's web site, to view detailed information on the Multi Use List, as well as obtain the templates required for submission. Submissions using the correctly formatted templates must be made electronically to npi@environment.gov.au. Submissions may be lodged from 1 July 2008 to 30 June 2009. Amendments to submissions may be made at any time during this period.
