Final Report to the National Environment Protection Council - March 2006
The Technical Advisory Panel (TAP) to the National Pollutant Inventory was reformed in September 2005 to provide advice on a range of possible changes to the NPI programme.
One such change was the review of the current NPI substance list to determine if substances should be removed from the list and if any additional substances be included. The Panel made a number of recommendations about the substance list and these formed the basis of the recommendations on the substances list through the variation process.
The Panel released their final report in March 2006, and it was included as one of the variation documents during the public consultation period in July 2006.
