ANZSIC code list

Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification (ANZSIC) is a standard classification developed by the Australian Bureau of Statistics for use in Australia and New Zealand for the analysis of industry statistics.  More information on the ABS website

In addition, you can search the ABS website by keyword  for a list of possible ANZSIC codes with activity descriptions.

The ANZSIC Classification has four levels. For example "Manufacturing" (ANZSIC Code C)

Facilities which have activities associated with one or more of the subset of ANZSIC codes for NPI reporting are required to report on their emissions and transfers if they have tripped one or more of the reporting thresholds.
All NPI reporting facilities are assigned an ANZSIC code at the most detailed (4 digit level) to describe the kind of activity they undertake.
